It reimagines recognisable vernacular forms in a contemporary manner, using robust materials appropriate to the highland climate, such as slate roofing and rendered blockwork, with bold overhanging “peaked” roof design.
The home is designed to approaching Passiv standards utilising high levels of insulation, ground- source heat pump system, solar thermal and photovoltaic roof panels.
